How to Use the GPA Calculator

This tool calculates one value for you if you supply the other two.  It is useful for seeing the result of certain scenarios.

Given your current Credit Hour Total and Current GPA, can be used to determine:

The average GPA needed in a term to maintain your GPA at a certain level.  For example, "If I take 15 credits this term, what grade average do I need to get for those credits to keep my total GPA at 3.5?"

  1. Enter Additional Credit Hours and the Resultant GPA
  2. Click Calculate.

The credits needed to achieve a target GPA.  For example, "How many credits do I need to get As in if I want a 3.0 GPA?"

  1. Enter the Average GPA for Those Additional Hours and the Resultant GPA.
  2. Click Calculate.

 

The total GPA if you take a certain number of credits at a given GPA.  For example, "If I get all Bs in this term and I'm taking 16 credits, what will my GPA be?"

  1. Enter the Additional Credit Hours and the Average GPA for Those Additional Hours.
  2. Click Calculate.
